Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade — 2016
I don’t get around to seeing it this year until after Christmas: Thursday afternoon, 30 December.
Characters come at you.
They are ready for their closeup.
Brassy and sassy.
Anna and Elsa, the Frozen Sisters, continue to be ubiquitous.
Olaf doesn’t stray far from his mobile home.
Smile and wave back. He has an axe.
Ms Von Schweetz reminds us: What’s good for Gingerbread Autos is good for America.
Let’s all give Wreck-It Ralph a big hand. Wait–never mind.
Oh, it’s a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts
Take a walk with your favorite girl
It’s a sugar date, what if spring is late
In winter it’s a marshmallow world
Our favorite girl is, of course, Clarabelle.
You could get lost in her nostrils.
Snow White and her Prince stay in the shade.
Cindy and her Prince always travel coach. Charming couple.
She’s found her whadd’ya call ‘em? Oh, feet — and has joined Eric on this flotation device.
She lets down her hair and he wishes us Happy Holidays.
Jessie reaches out to us and Bullseye keeps hoofing it.
The only way you’ve ever known a Christmas parade to end…
That moustache sleighs me.
In between floats there’s plenty of choreography. And by the time they get to Main Street Square, these folks have been at it for like 20 minutes!
What it was:
…and in case you’d like to see what all paraded past the railroad station twenty years ago…
